Omaggio a Marcello Mascherini.

La città di Trieste dedica a Marcello Mascherini (1906-1983), il più importante scultore triestino del Novecento, la mostra allestita presso il Museo Revoltella, aperta al pubblico dal 28 luglio al 14 ottobre. Il titolo della mostra è “Mascherini e la scultura europea del ‘900” presenta al pubblico ben 113 opere, di cui 65 firmate da Mascherini e una cinquantina realizzate da autori di rilievo della scultura del secolo scorso.

Le molte opere di Mascherini esposte, realizzate dalla metà degli anni Venti all’inizio degli anni Settanta, verranno messe a confronto con altri artisti, tra cui Adolfo Wildt, Arturo Martini, Marino Marini, Dino Basaldella, Umberto Baglioni, Marino Mazzacurati, mentre la sezione introduttiva permetterà ai visitatori di immergersi nel clima culturale della Trieste di inizio Novecento, ovvero in quello stesso ambiente che ha visto maturare l’arte di Mascherini. Un contributo essenziale, per l’allestimento della mostra, è stato fornito dagli eredi di Mascherini, che hanno creato un archivio intitolato allo scultore, e dallo Studio del ‘900 di Claudia Gianferrari. La mostra sarà visitabile tutti i giorni dalle ore 10 alle 20.

Turismo a crescita zero.

A causa del pessimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, l’Italia è destinata a restare al palo nel settore turistico. Non cresce il numero degli arrivi e rimane al palo la spesa turistica (+0,3%). Complice anche la mancanza di una vera a propria cabina di regia del settore. Il tasso di occupazione delle strutture alberghiere è nella media del 38%, veramente basso. E’ dagli anni ’70 che il nostro paese inizia a perdere colpi nel turismo. Ora è al 5° posto superato anche dalla Cina, paese emergente.
